To The College Fair -- Or Not!

A few years ago, a reader inquired as to whether it was worth going to the National College Fair. A number of errant links (they tend to break or disappear over time) aside, the advice on the Fair is certainly as valid today as it was then, and well worth repeating.

Hofstra University To Host College Expo April 23rd

Tuesday, April 23 - Spring College EXPO - sponsored by Nassau Counselors' Association. Mack Sports Complex, Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

Now is the time for high school juniors (as well as sophomores) and their parents to get a jump start on college planning.

Hofstra University in Uniondale (Long Island) will play host to the 2013 Spring College Expo, sponsored by the Nassau Counselors' Association.

Which is the fairest College Fair in all the land?

Why, the National College Fair, of course, hosted by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and coming to Long Island (Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale) on Sunday, October 2, 2011 (11 AM to 4 PM).

The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum plays host this Sunday, October 3rd, to the National College Fair.

Come on out and meet The College Whisperer as he makes his way through the crowds, past the booths manned (and womaned ;-) by cheerful college reps, to the concession stands. LOL

While I love and loathe college fairs, I will miss no opportunity to mingle with the hopeful, the stressed and the angst-ridden, as they scout out information and insight on prospective colleges.
